The Xavier’s Management Society is among the most distinguished and sought-after societies of St. Xavier’s College, Kolkata, and is the representative society of the Department of Management Studies. Since its inception in September 2010, it has overcome every obstacle in its way, shifting to an entirely online medium for conducting its events, while also being able to adapt to a hybrid mechanism, and ultimately transitioning back to an offline medium. XMS was founded with the vision of creating a community of like-minded individuals striving for excellence and success, as well as being a platform to provide a plethora of opportunities and avenues to aid students in gaining enriching corporate exposure and experience. At XMS, we are committed on focusing on all aspects of management, ensuring that every student is taught practical lessons, as we believe that education should transcend academic books.
X-Ecutive is our annual departmental magazine. The magazine embarked on its journey in 2003 by publishing articles and essays of the students, professors of our institution, as well as luminaries from around the world. It has featured interviews with many prominent personalities and dignitaries across different fields. Previous features include the likes of Dr A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, Pranab Mukherjee, Dr Shashi Tharoor, Nawazuddin Siddique and Sourav Ganguly, to name a few. The magazine continues to evolve with 21 published editions surrounding themes like The Art of Resilience, The Edge of Possibility and others, forever representing a powerful stance.
